WHAT ELECTIVE CLASSES SHOULD BE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL AND WHY?

I think some elective classes that should be in middle school are art, band, drama, and technology. I think art should be a middle school elective because students can learn how to look at a work of art, identify and compare key characteristics in artworks, and understand the role that art has played throughout history.  Band should be one of them because it provides progressive development of instrumental performance skills from 6th through 8th grade. It also can teach students who can’t afford to pay for lessons after school. Another elective should be drama. It should be drama because you can work on developing the voice, body, and imagination through the use of theater games, improvisation and ensemble exercises. Lastly, technology should be a middle school elective because it can help students learn how to code, and help with typing skills.
